Come Play with us in the POND!
In an age where we as a society become more and more distant from nature we need to remind the next generation the importance of the forests, rivers, and yes, even the ponds that surround us. POND! takes us on a journey through a day in the life of a pond. When I was a child there was a pond in a garden that I went to with my family. I remember wading through the pond, catching tadpoles, feet in the squishy, gooey mud. As spring turned to summer these tadpoles would turn into frogs and the pond would dry up, only to come back and start anew in the spring again.
Through POND! we learn how to grow, adapt, and change, with each pond creature teaching us something new. Whether it be the importance of friendship, trying new things, or taking a breath POND! imagines a world where we learn from those around us, creating a new world collectively. We all have different talents, viewpoints and skills that we bring to the world and by learning from each other we can become more well rounded and appreciative. POND! teaches us to embrace our many talents and learn from not only those around us but from our environment as well.
